Volunteering at CUPA

CUPA receives many requests for volunteering at the Shelter on the campus of the KVAFSU Veterinary College on Bellary Road, at the Animal Birth Control Center for community dogs in Koramangala, at the CUPA Clinic on Devegowda Road at R.T. Nagar and at the Bannerghatta Rehabilitation Center (BRC) in Bannerghatta.

Since it is difficult and time consuming to manage young volunteers in an already stretched work environment with limited staff and resources, CUPA only requests for total time and energy commitment for the days and hours that have been designated by the volunteer themselves.

Below is the poster that greets young prospective volunteers when they come to the Shelter. Though the information is for Shelter volunteers, the terms apply to all the 3 centers for domestic animals. The rules are a little different for the BRC campus for small wildlife and information on the same can be provided at wrrcbrc@gmail.com

If you are comfortable with the conditions to be met while working for domestic animals, please write to us for an application form. As volunteering becomes more popular, we may have to request you for a small donation for sharing the privilege of gaining knowledge, experience and great satisfaction in caring for the many homeless animals that we look after.

Foreign volunteers and veterinary school students need a separate application form, since there may be more requirements for them to fulfill for accommodation and work.
